Artist Bio

Kristen Ankiewicz graduated with a degree in Visual Environmental Studies and English/American Literature from Harvard University in 1993, studying primarily painting, photography, and poetry. As part of her degree she completed an honor's thesis analyzing reader participation in the work of art from the point of view of the artist as well as critical reader.

Kristen has been painting and taking photographs steadily in the years since graduation, and has developed a fondness for the internet and new media forms of art and expression. In 1994 she began creating a series of animated characters called Monsters by Kristen.

Her fine art portfolio as well as her latest creative experiments are exhibited at Ankiewicz.com. Ankiewicz.com is the focal point for Kristen's creative endeavors, a virtual space where she can curate her own work, play out visual themes, and interact with other artists and art-lovers.
