I graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Visual Environmental Studies and English/American Literature, studying painting, photography, and poetry. I completed an honor's thesis analyzing reader participation in the work of art from the point of view of the artist as well as the critical reader.

I run a very busy children's site called Monsters by Kristen and the Facebook community to go with it. This project demands a steady stream of animations, drawings, and stories. On June 8, 2010 I launched a line of stuffed animals. Buy one! I am looking for people to collaborate with on game projects. User Interface

I have experience working with JSON feeds and AJAX to develop the types of charts and graphs below. My web development experience includes PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Most recently I've focused on mobile applications.

    Highcharts.js is a library with a wide range of elegant charting and graphing features.
  • EXT JS charts and graphs
    EXT JS offers robust AJAX/data store features, and is good for extensive data manipulations.
  • Editable grid/modal popup
    This demonstration shows how a grid can be edited on the fly using a modal popup (jQueryUI).

HTML5

These are examples of work I have done with HTML5/canvas element.
  • EaselJS
    EaselJS is a JavaScript library for working with the HTML5/canvas element. This demo illustrates change in velocity, speed, scale, opacity, and x/y coordinates in order to "explode" characters based on user's mouse feedback. Mathematical formulas give a realistic appearance to the explosions.
  • HTML5/canvas (drag and drop)
    This is a demonstration of drag and drop interface. Users can add new characters anywhere on the field by dragging and dropping existing characters.

  • HTML5/canvas (animation)
    HTML5/canvas (animation)
    This is a demonstration of HTML5/canvas in which users can add new characters to an HTML5 animation dynamically. Users can add creatures to their garden, and then set the lawnmower to "mow the lawn." Written in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.

ThreatGRID

ThreatGRID provides a subscription-based service to prevent exploitation and to prepare an organization's response to malware threats.

Ankiewicz.com

Ankiewicz.com is my portfolio/fine arts website. My favorite photographic subject is fire arts.

Graphic design

My design projects have included fonts, logos, and illustrations for individual clients. The font shown here was used as part of an academic book cover.


Oil and acrylic paintings
I have sold a number of oil and acrylic paintings through gallery and private buyers.

Roche/Genentech

I worked at Roche as part of the Global Product Regulatory System (GPRS) site.

GPRS is an internal tool used by Roche Regulatory Professionals to manage pharmaceutical products at all stages of the life cycle.

I worked on both development and design for this site.

Zecco

Zecco is a discount stock trading website with an activity community of traders. See additional screenshots.

Monsters.net

I run a very busy children's site called Monsters by Kristen and a very active Facebook community of nearly 5000 fans to go with it. This project demands a steady stream of animations, drawings, and stories, including a stop-motion series featuring a little orange slug who sometimes goes bowling.

Monsters.net runs on PHP, WordPress, jQuery, JavaScript/HTML/CSS, and mySQL.

Products and licenses

I have sold branded Monsters.net merchandise in a variety of distribution channels, including boutiques and online stores.

A series of Monsters greeting cards were sold in Target stores as part of a licensing agreement.
Claymation and stop-motion
A series of stop-motion movies featuring a little orange slug who sometimes goes bowling.
