I visited Death Valley most recently in 2007. At the beginning of the trip we hiked Telescope Peak. The high elevations are much cooler (75-80F and breezy) than the lower elevations. It can be as hot as 120F in the summer at the lower elevations. We stopped at Eureka Dunes, the Devils Golfcourse, and other beautiful places.
